We are confirming your organization/school’s invitation to join the Summit. The activity calls for any high
school and college student representatives that are members of your student council and/or potential
leaders of service organizations, who may be interested to join the gathering of the selected few. The said
activity aims to enrich and hone the skills of leaders to become better models of the youth and
transformed servant-leaders of the country; also, foster youth empowerment towards advocating the
United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals (M.D.G.’s) in their respective institutions as well as in their
local city through manifestation of effective leadership skills and principles gained from the conference.
Given this timely challenge and with the noble intention of sincerely unifying the efforts and the strength of
youth for peace and sustainable development, we cordially invite a maximum of FIVE “Active” student
leaders from your institution to join us in this significant activity. The four-day Summit will include
leadership workshop, lecture plenary sessions, youth-project immersions, youth action planning, and funfilled
social activities. It is preferable that they are accompanied by an adviser or a coach who can later on
assist them in implementing the United Nations Millennium Development Goal’s (MDG’s) action plans.
The conference is an official event of the (1) United Nations Resident Coordinator of the Philippines, (2)
International STAND UP Campaign against Global Poverty, and (3) Taking It Global International. The
“Summit for Young Filipino Leaders” or SYFL celebration will be appropriately endorsed by the
Department of Education, the Commission on Higher Education and the National Youth Commission.
